At Moonshadow we believe that Distance Learning should be an interactive experience, enabling students to stay in touch with their tutor, and interact with other students on a regular basis.

Our Animal Communication course emphasizes the importance of a diplomatic and respectful attitude when connecting with animals, thus focusing on the psychology and nature of the individual animal. We also take care to prepare our students for communication by teaching them skills that will improve their psychic abilities, and keep their minds clear of distractions and their auras strong and healthy.

Option 2 Students:
  • Internet (to submit Homework Assignments, Practise Sessions and Case Studies)
  • Own Email Address (to receive feedback for assignments)
  • CD Player or computer with CD-rom and audio (for meditation/verbal instructions)
Option 2 students who do not have access to internet can contact us to make alternative arrangements.

Student Support:
 		  
    Students are encouraged to stay in touch with their Tutor(s) and to interact with other students. We recommend that you join our Animal Communication Facebook Study Group. This group gives students the opportunity to share tips, ask questions and discuss the course material. Once you get to know some of our other students, you can exchange contact details to practise on each other’s animals. This is a great way to practise, as students will receive constructive feedback from each other.

Students or prospective students are also welcome to contact their Tutor(s): via Email or Skype instant messenger.

Students will be invited to the online Study Group once enrolment has been completed.

Students will receive links for Homework Submission, Practise Session and Case Study pages on our website. All assignments are to be completed and submitted online.

Your Tutor will evaluate* your assignments and email feedback to you within:

  • Homework: 14 days

  • Practise Session: 14 days

  • Case Studies: 5 days (individual submissions); 30 days (for all 30 case studies submitted at once)

* Homework Assignments and Practise Sessions will be evaluated only within 6 months of enrolment. Case studies will be evaluated only within 1 year of enrolment. Should the student experience unforeseen delays in completing assignments and case studies, alternative arrangements can be made by contacting the Tutor.

About the Tutor:
 		  
   
Shanu van der Berg studied Opera at the School of Music at UCT, and completed her Bachelor’s Degree at UNISA majoring in Psychology and Criminology.

Shanu was initiated as an Usui Reiki Master in 2000. She also studied Therapeutic Tarot, completing the Foundation Course in 1999, the Intermediate Course and the Osho Zen Course in 2000, the Daughters of the Moon Course in 2001, and the Advanced Tarot Course in 2002. She completed her training in Indian Head Massage in 1999, and has also completed module 1 and 2 of Body Alignment Technique.

Shanu has had animal communication, clairvoyant, clairaudient, clairsentient and mediumship abilities since early childhood, and offers a range of psychic consultations both in person and via e-mail. Her experience in the field of animal healing and communication includes cats, dogs, tortoises, horses, donkeys, cheetahs, coyotes (individual and packs), wolves (individual and packs), birds, ferrets, cows and calves.

She has been working full-time as a Therapist, Tarot reader, Clairvoyant, Medium and Animal Communicator at Moonshadow since 2000.
